Hints of winter are apparent only in December and January, and
spring begins in February! March and April herald warmer
temperatures and a tremendous flowering period in many types of
plants.  Late April and May is the "dry" summer. Daily
thundershowers mean the wet season of June, July, August and
September. A gentler sun is more apparent by October and a "second
spring" occurs now into November.

The gardens have been designed with year round splendor by focusing
first and foremost on foliar color and textures. On a macro-level, there
are no seasonal peaks or lulls in the glory of Casa Phippsberger. On a
micro-level, though, you will be pleased with glimpses of new growth
flushes or flowerings set to the natural cycles of photoperiod
(daylength), wet or dry season, changing temperature, sunlight intensity
or lunar phase.
